(Special Pastor & Leader's Dinner October 27, 2017)

The Details

Adoption offers a powerful testimony of grace in a world of unwanted pregnancies and on-demand abortion. But no one said adoption is easy.

As an adoptive parent and pastor who has counseled many adoptive parents, Brian Borgman knows there is another side to adoption that we are often reluctant to talk about. Parenting is always a challenge, but parenting an adopted child can have some special challenges. Adoptive parents can experience much heartache and even guilt with their adopted children. Many suffer in silence. This has given Borgman a burden to minister to those who are struggling, and led him to write the book, “After They Are Yours: The Grace and Grit of Adoption.”

Come and experience a conference filled with personal experience, biblical wisdom, and practical help for the unique challenges of adoption. The conference will focus on the unique ways adoption allows for grace to be both received and given in unexpected and practical ways.

Childcare will be provided and is included in the conference registration fee, and your children’s lunch is also included! We have a full itinerary of fun and creative activities for them so you can relax and enjoy the conference.

Book & Raffle

As well, each attendee of this conference will receive a complimentary copy of Borgman’s book and because $1 of each registration fee will be go toward the Redeemer Adoption Fund, each ticket will include a raffle ticket for a prize pack!

Who is This For?

Lastly, this conference is not only for parents of foster or adoptive children, this is for anyone who is involved in fost/adopt including older siblings, extended family, fellow church/ small group members, and friends. You will notice in the registration there is a discount for purchasing a full table for 8 people, so feel free to invite others to join in.

Adoption is complicated, and this conference will not highlight a success story, but rather a story of struggles and failures set in the broader context of a God who is gracious and continually teaching the meaning of adoption.

What do you do when it’s hard to hope? Come and hear a story of adoption that’s real, raw, redemptive, and edifying!

Each group of kids will be led by volunteer staff. Each of our volunteers are trained and have been background checked before serving with us. Our volunteers work with kids on a monthly or biweekly basis.

Please contact us with any specific questions or needs. Our goal is to keep you in the conference and help your kids have a great time.  gospelkids@theredeemerchurch.com
